Veterans clinic

We provide primary care for veterans close to home — check-ups, chronic conditions, medication management, and the referrals and documentation that veteran care often requires. We are not currently a TRICARE provider; we accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, IEHP, Anthem, Blue Shield, Health Net, Cigna and Aetna. Call before your first visit and we will confirm your coverage.

Come in if you have

  • You want a primary care provider near home to work alongside your VA care
  • You are managing an ongoing condition and want care closer to home
  • You need documentation, forms, or a referral handled properly
  • You have not had a full check-up in over a year

What happens at your visit

  1. We confirm your coverage before the visit, so there is no surprise at the desk.
  2. We go through your full history, current medications, and anything you are already being treated for elsewhere.
  3. We coordinate rather than duplicate — if you are already under care somewhere, we work with that.
  4. You get a named point of contact at the office for follow-up questions.

Care that is actually nearby

For a lot of veterans in the Inland Empire the barrier to routine care is not coverage — it is distance and wait times. Having a primary care provider in Upland or Rancho Cucamonga means the ordinary things (a check-up, a medication review, something that flared up this week) do not require a long trip.

The paperwork side

Veteran coverage tends to involve more documentation than commercial insurance — referrals, authorisations, forms that have to be completed a specific way. When that gets handled sloppily, care gets delayed.

Tell us up front what you need and we will handle it correctly the first time. If something needs to go to another provider or a VA facility, we will make sure it is legible, complete, and sent.

We would rather coordinate than duplicate

If you are already being treated somewhere — at a VA facility or by a specialist — that is useful information, not a complication. Bring your medication list and any recent records. Repeating tests you have already had is a waste of your time and a real cost to you.

Verify your coverage before you come in

Call us and we will confirm your plan and eligibility before your first appointment. It takes a few minutes on our end and it means you are not finding out about a coverage issue while sitting in the waiting room.

Common questions

Do you accept TRICARE?
Not at present. We accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, IEHP, Anthem, Blue Shield, Health Net, Cigna and Aetna. If TRICARE is your only coverage we would rather tell you now than have you find out at the front desk — call us and we will help you work out your options.
Can you handle referrals and paperwork?
Yes. Veteran coverage often needs referrals and documentation handled a particular way, and getting it wrong causes delays. Tell us what you need and we will complete it properly.
Can I use this clinic alongside VA care?
Many veterans do. We are happy to coordinate with your existing providers rather than duplicate what is already being done — bring your records or medication list and we will work from those.
Do you speak languages other than English?
Dr. Danhash speaks Arabic fluently, and our office serves a diverse community. If you need support in another language, call ahead and tell us so we can arrange it.

This page explains how we care for this condition at our office. It is general information, not medical advice for your specific situation — please talk to us about your own care.
